This document explains the steps to install product It is divided into the following each parts.

Release information on this product is stored in HTML format under info/ in the directory where the package is installed. Be sure to read it carefully with your web browser.
A special file is also stored into info/ so that you can refer the product name and product version. This file consists of the output from gversion for each file prepared in the package. (gversion outputs the last modified date even for such a non-executable file as library or source code, as well as the output from "ls -l".) The last six-digit number in the file name indicates the release number of the product.

Moreover, a template file used for technical support by e-mail can be found under info/. You can use it to contact us for a technical communication.
Please delete all the previous versions beforehand when you install new versions in the same directory. There is a possibility of the malfunction when the overwrite install is done without deleting it.
GHSlm (Green Hills License Manager) can be configured through web interface and uses port 80 by default. If web server is working on your server host, it may be a trouble because the www port (port 80) may be used and overlaps with GHSlm listen port.
In such a case, please change the port number which GHSlm web interface uses in the following way.
By the setup mentioned above, the port number which GHSlm uses will be changed.
Please refer to the "MULTI: Licensing" manual for more detail.
Please re-invoke a License Manager (lm) after installing the license when you add or modify a newly floating license.
Setup the environment variable on your client HOSTs:
% setenv GHS_LMWHICH ghs
On your client HOSTs, with environment variable, you will have to select the server host on which the license manager is working.
Variable Name: GHS_LMHOST Variable Value: @{Server_Name or IP_address} (Ex.) setenv GHS_LMHOST @myserver
An installer and a GHS tool require a shared library for 32bit.
Note that the installation steps may vary depending on the product media.
The super user privilege is necessary for the execution of the installation. And device name specified here may vary depending on the system. Contact your system administrator, if you are not sure of the device name.
- When "CD_install.sh" exists in a top directory of the CD-R:
(Ex.) % /cdrom/CD_install.sh
- When "CD_install.sh" does not exists in a top directory of the CD-R:
(Ex.) % mkdir /usr/green/XXX.V505
(Ex.) % cd /usr/green/XXX.V505
(Ex.) % /cdrom/utilities/gtar --no-same-owner -zxvf /cdrom/product.tgz
After completing the installation, please read the "How to be licensed on Linux version" section.
Protection is set to our products. Therefore, you need to set up a license after installation. Please follow the procedure to get a license file and then set up the license.
(Ex.) % cd /usr/green/XXX.V505
(Ex.) % ./licinfoe.sh `psw`

When the installation is completed, the message "The licenses have been successfully installed. ..." is displayed.
Please invoke the 'lm' license manager on a back ground.

[ Configuration to use GHS tools on Windows XP SP2 or later ]
When you invoking GHS tools on Windows XP SP2 or later, a Windows Firewall Security Alert dialog box will be appear. The window prompts you to choose an option. If it is shown, please select "Unblock this program".
[ When you invoke the license manager (excluding Windows 98/Me) ]
Please set the firewall of the port that the license server uses as follows.

Drivers Install wizard window is appearing when you insert the USB port. Please operate it according to the wizard window.
If your OS is Windows 98/Me, you need to reboot Windows.

Never forget to connect the dongle before invoking licinfoe.bat, if you have.

When your PC is Windows Vista or later, please right-click on the 'mlmadmn.exe' icon and select "Run as administrator".

Using "hostid.exe" is not shown as "ID(K):0x....", please check below. (Start from 1 below, in order.)
Please check whether it is connected properly.
After uninstalling the product, open Windows "Control Panel" -> ("System") -> "Device Manager", uninstall "Pandra key" in "USB Keys" and re-install the product.
In Windows 7, sometimes message "Device driver software was not installed successfully." appears when USB dongle is inserted. In this case, please update the driver software as below.
