This document explains the steps to install product It is divided into the following each parts.
Explains the steps to install Linux host products.
Release information on this product is stored in HTML format under info/ in the directory where the package is installed. Be sure to read it carefully with your web browser.
A special file is also stored into info/ so that you can refer the product name and product version. This file consists of the output from gversion for each file prepared in the package. (gversion outputs the last modified date even for such a non-executable file as library or source code, as well as the output from "ls -l".) The last six-digit number in the file name indicates the release number of the product.
(Example) mlt-us-060000.lst ; MULTI Release 6.0.0
Moreover, a template file used for technical support by e-mail can be found under info/. You can use it to contact us for a technical communication.
Note that the installation steps may vary depending on the product media.
The super user privilege is necessary for the execution of the installation. And device name specified here may vary depending on the system. Contact your system administrator, if you are not sure of the device name.
- When "CD_install.sh" exists in a top directory of the CD-R:
(Ex.) % /cdrom/CD_install.sh
- When "CD_install.sh" does not exists in a top directory of the CD-R:
(Ex.) % mkdir /usr/green/XXX.V505
(Ex.) % cd /usr/green/XXX.V505
(Ex.) % /cdrom/utilities/gtar --no-same-owner -zxvf /cdrom/product.tgz
After completing the installation, please read the "How to be licensed on Linux version" section.
Protection is set to our products. Therefore, you need to set up a license after installation. Please follow the procedure to get a license file and then set up the license.
(Ex.) % ./licinfoe.sh `psw`
Purchased at Asian area: license@adac.co.jp
Purchased at US, EU area: license@ghs.com
When the installation is completed, the message "The licenses have been successfully installed. ..." is displayed.
Please invoke the 'lm' license manager on a back ground.
(Ex.) % lm &
If you purchased a floating license, refer "MULTI: Licensing" (license.pdf) to know details about the license manager.
